LaidOff.LifeOn! Thanksgiving, a time for Gratitude and Goal Setting – Laid Off. Life On!
This Thursday, those of us living in the United States will celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.
Thanksgiving is a day that is all about being with friends and family, eating too much food, and reflecting on the things that we are most thankful for in our lives. Personally, my favorite parts of Thanksgiving are the Turkey Trot 5K race my husband and I do every year with the kids, the permission I give myself to actually take a nap during daylight hours, watching the Macy’s day parade with my daughter in the morning, and both watching and playing football in the afternoon with my son. I throw a surprising mean spiral football, and I get a kick out of seeing the neighborhood kids look amazed when I can land the ball in a receiver’s hands 50+ yards away.
I love the day because it is a day that I spend abundantly immersed in activities that reflect my core values. Family, Quality Time, Health, Authenticity, and Gratitude and by definition
so I thought I would be super cliché and do a podcast about gratitude and thankfulness and all those themes that we are celebrating this time of year and specifically later this week.
